With all businesses, marketing is one of the key aspects that is used to attract new business and increase revenue.

Some of the traditional methods of marketing includes: Business Cards, Flyers, Brochures, Post Cards, Advertisements in news papers and on the radio, etc. etc.

Their are other options when it comes to marketing on the internet: Social Network Websites, Safelists, Traffic Exchanges, List Builders, Pay Per Clicks, FFA's, etc. etc.

What method is better than the other? First each method is no better over the other. What determines the success of your marketing effort all depends on what you are marketing. Trying each method and testing different concepts will help you determine what will work best for what you are marketing.

However the only method of marketing excluded from the previous listed methods and seems to be at the top of everyone's list especially the professional marketing companies is WORD OF MOUTH marketing or REFERRAL BASED marketing.

Marketing is not an exact science and one method that works one time may not work the next.

I like to test each method to determine which one produces the greatest results and then I put the most effort into that method.

If a method that has been working begins to slows down, stops producing or does not produce the desired results, I either remove it from my marketing efforts or try a different approach until it starts producing the desired results that I want.
